2024.01.31

Zurich – At the beginning of each year, the Top Employers Institute announces the best employers in Europe. And year after year, Huawei scores as a top employer in numerous European countries, including Switzerland. Criteria such as HR strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, well-being and diversity and inclusion are recognized.

The best employers certified by the Top Employers Institute put their employees at the centre of entrepreneurial activity and offer them an outstanding working and development environment. Certification follows a multi-stage process that begins with the fact that a company has to qualify for approval in the first place. The evaluation includes 6 HR areas that include 20 sub-themes, such as HR strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, well-being, diversity, inclusion, and more.

Liu Wei, HR Director of Huawei Switzerland, said: "We are extremely pleased that our commitment to our employees has been so consistently recognized over the years. We have been rooted in Switzerland for more than 15 years and are able to offer very attractive jobs both in terms of job content and working conditions, thus attracting and retaining talent. We work with people from over 30 different countries – cultural diversity and inclusion are therefore important values for us. And as a technology provider, we also know that it is important to keep up with the times in order to survive in the competition. Therefore, personnel development in an appealing working environment is very important to us."

David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute, congratulates Huawei on its certification: "Being a certified top employer means being at the forefront of human resources. The organizations we honor go through a rigorous process to evaluate and validate their policies and conditions that meet or exceed industry best practices. Top employers such as Huawei are committed to continuously developing and improving their human resources practices for a better world of work.» (Huawei/mc/hfu)
